Macs vs. PCs: An Epic Debate Rages On
The rift between Macs and PCs continues.
Well, at least between their respective fans.
There are Fort Lauderdale computer repair experts on either side of the debate, believing in their heart of hearts that their that desktop or laptop products are optimal.
And most likely, neither will be able to declare victory.
But there are decisive arguments to bolster either argument.
For its part, the PC is built with open architecture, which means anyone can build add-ons (such as video cards or processors or hard drives) for it. This allows consumers and manufacturers to choose between components from which to build a computer and meet specific needs.
The downside of this is potential pleas to the Fort Lauderdale computer repair help line. It is next to impossible to test all permutations of the parts and combinations of parts to ensure they work together - and even if you could, there are always new versions being rolled out.
Often, Broward County computer service and network support providers say they receive complaints that people's machines have problems that are very difficult to troubleshoot.
Apple, on the other hand, builds computers using only parts tested and proven to work together. This system makes for fewer customizable options but greatly increases reliability and reduces the number of breakdowns as reported by computer services.
At least theoretically.
Via superior great marketing and pricing, the PC got a tremendous leg up on the Mac, finding its way onto more than 95 percent of Earth's offices and private homes that house computers.
This, along with the fact that the two operating systems are drastically different, means that much more cash across the world is spent writing software for the PC than for the Mac.
But the tide is turning a bit.
Apple recently launched a new line of Intel-based computers, meaning - gasp - a newer Mac now might have the capability to run Windows! It isn’t quite as easy as some would like, but it also isn't all that tough. Nor is it that slow!
Another Mac plus that Ft. Lauderdale computer repair shops tout is the fact that it's working instantly, right out of the packaging.
Those unfamiliar with Macs may be astonished at the lack of annoying pop-ups and other garbage one encounters with many PCs.
Some Macs also provide full applications for editing / managing photos and videos, and publishing them to CD or to the web. Cool stuff.
So who wins this debate? Ask every Fort Lauderdale computer repair guru around and you'll hear every possible answer.
There is no single right answer to this age-old question. But, if armed with all the facts - the upshot and downside of each - you can hopefully make the right purchase for your specific situation. Good luck!
