MS Word Problem Far From "Normal"

For reasons unknown, the user is told to fix the corrupted template when the more viable (and simple) solution is to find the normal.dot file and DELETE IT.

Click on Start and Search, and choose a search of all the files and folders on your computer. Then type in normal.dot and hit Enter.
When normal.dot appears in the search box, give it a right-click, select rename and then change the name to something else you will remember.
