Version 3.7 introduces enhanced, new functionality for mail management, product administration, as well as the performance and flexibility of the archiving process, and requirements for offline and mobile users.
Among multiple touted enhancements in Version 3.7 is a new streamlined and multi-threaded archiving process focusing on key requirements.
Specifically, administrators will now have real time access to some of the key performance indicators, allowing them to assess the archiving process and ensure fast exception diagnosis and error recovery.
With changes that will hopefully decrease complex computer repair issues, these processing improvements hope to boost ease of use, reducing the burden on Lotus Notes and Domino administrators.
At the same time, the new rollout addresses growing issues associated with policy-based retention of increasing volumes of data, optimization of the archiving process and the requirements of mobile users.
