Can Snow Leopard Take Mac Business Class?
Fort Lauderdale and Miami computer repair experts say the biggest thing coming to Apple desktops and notebooks is something that's been needed forever.
That would be First-class support for Microsoft Exchange users.
According to experts, this latest development means, in the opinion of many, that Apple laptops now make more sense than ever as a Windows replacement.
Of course, that Exchange support has taken Apple this long is laughable to some, providing a glimpse of how important Apple considers business customers to be.
Read: Not very.
But this could change. Apple has made incremental changes that make Macs and iPhones more welcome on the big company networks and network support providers seem to be noticing.
Poor Exchange support complaints have been made to Apple management teams since the beginning of the company's expansion, and while the demo of the new Snow Leopard OS support for Exchange was impressive, observers are taking a wait-and-see attitude.
The million-dollar question: With the addition of Exchange support, is there any reason a business user cannot select a MacBook Pro as an away-from-the-office PC?
After all, a survey of area Miami computer repair patrons found that they are now competitively priced in comparison to the high-end Windows laptops.
In addition, the Mac version of Microsoft Office works nicely, and even more importantly, they can even run Windows. That's a positive list of attributes.
However, save for Exchange support, Snow Leopard doesn't offer much in the way of immediate benefit to customers, as reflected in a $29 upgrade price (still a bit steep).
Long term, a large number of Ft. Lauderdale computer repair experts believe that Snow Leopard brings significant improvements that should keep Mac OS ahead of Windows.
However, just how significantly ahead it will keep OS than Windows is a subject very much in debate, and furthermore, the beneficiaries of these changes will undoubtedly be future Apple hardware customers, more than current owners.
