To Replace, or to Repair?
Is your computer becoming increasingly frail? Is the thing taking longer and longer to boot? Is it sending endless “connecting” messages when you go online?
If so, you're not alone. And it is probably a safe assumption that you have at least considered the fact that it could be time to buy a new computer.
Especially if yours is, like, three years old. That's like 30 years in technological terms. Downright archaic. Time to get up to date with a new model!
Or is it?
Should we be so quick to assume that computers and the other gadgets and gizmos of modern life, like iPods and videos are always ready to retire so soon?
For both economic and environmental reasons, at least considering if Ft. Lauderdale computer repair is a viable option is worth doing.

That was one option, sure. Or they could ship or bring in the tower that contains the hard drive and he would replace it for about $150 — far less than the cheapest PC or Mac you could buy (though some drives cost $200 or higher).
As for buying a computer for upgraded software?
“It depends on what you’re using the computer for,” the technician said. “If you’re surfing the Internet and doing e-mail, which is what the bulk of people do, then you’re only using 5 to 10 percent of the actual power of your computer."
"The bottom line is that most people don’t need upgraded software.”
Of course, if you are going to work on video editing or movie production, you probably want the newest software - and the fastest processor - available.
Most Miami computer repair shops concur that machines more than seven years old should probably be replaced when and if they begin having issues.
However, “there’s a huge surge in the amount of repairs” in this economic climate, as people choose to keep what they have rather than spend twice as much on the newest model, especially if you can obtain it for under half the cost.
